US Open women’s finels
Two non-seeded teenage tennis players have made it to the woman finals in the US open. Leylah Fernandez against Emma Raducanu. Raducanu won the first set 6-4, Winning the first game and broke Fernandez‘s serve in the second game, then Fernandez broke back in the third game. Then, in the 9th game, Raducanu broke Fernandez‘s serve and won the set. Then, Raducanu won the 2nd set, the match and the championship 6-3. Raducanu Is the first qualifier to make it to the finals and win the championship in history. The teenagers were neck and neck early in the second set, trading service breaks. Raducanu breaking Fernandez’s serve in the 6th game. Fernandez Fought valiantly after that but could not recover. With her wounded knee repaired, Raducanu Closed up the final game to win the set the match and the championship. No doubt there will be more battles between these two champions.
